Established in 1978 by two art teachers, Orient Expressed had its routes in Asian antiques that were purchased in Asia and sold at trunk shows in New Orleans. That business expanded very quickly and the two young moms added clothing they designed to the mix. The rest is history, as the clothing collection grew and continues to prosper today. We have dressed thousands of children over the past 35 years and have pleased countless mothers and grandmothers as they sought to dress their children in traditional clothing. Our goal has always been to dress children beautifully, and that continues today as our collection grows and evolves to meet the needs and tastes of both traditional and contemporary shoppers.
